This blog is about my trip to Rome, Italy June 26 - July 22, 2011. I am one of 23 teachers and 2 graduate students (I was chosen out of 65 applicants) who received a scholarship from NEH - National Endowment of the Humanities and the Italian Cultural Society of Washington, D.C. to study "The Art of teaching Italian through Italian Art". I will be learning about Italian Art and the History of Italy to incorporate in my lessons. The entire course is in Italian. Avanti - and off I go ...

Look at the two different columns and you can see that this building was changed and built over.
I liked the way the shadow of the oculus is over on the left.
